Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information QR Studio (“we”, “our”, “the app”) does and does not collect when you use our mobile application.

Short version:

We do not sell your personal data.
Camera permission is used only for scanning QR codes and barcodes.
Generated and scanned content remains on your device unless you explicitly share it.
We do not collect unnecessary personal information.

1. Information Collection

QR Studio is designed to operate with minimal data collection.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number.
We do not track your location.
We do not collect your contacts, photos, or files (except when you explicitly choose to save a generated code image).
We do not collect analytics, behavioral data, or usage statistics.
We do not sell, rent, or share any personal data with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

Information Stored Locally on Your Device

The following information is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us:

Your scan history (the content of codes you have scanned).
Your saved/generated codes.
Your app preferences (theme, default code type, etc.).

You can clear your scan history and saved codes at any time from the app’s settings.

2. Permissions

Camera Permission

The camera is used exclusively to:

Scan QR codes in real time.
Scan 1D and 2D barcodes in real time.

The camera feed is processed on-device only. No images, frames, or video from the camera are ever uploaded, recorded, or transmitted to us or to any third party.

Storage / Photo Library Permission (Optional)

If you choose to save a generated QR code as an image, the app may request permission to write to your photo library (iOS) or external storage (Android). This permission is optional and used solely to save the image you requested.

Internet Permission

QR Studio does not require an internet connection for scanning or generating codes. If you tap a scanned URL or choose to share content through an online app, your device’s network connection will be used — but this happens through your operating system, not through QR Studio.

3. Data Security

Because we do not collect your data, there is no centralized database to breach. The data stored on your device (scan history, generated codes, preferences) is protected by:

Your device’s built-in security features (PIN, biometric, full-disk encryption).
The app’s local sandbox, which prevents other apps from reading its data.

If your device is lost or stolen, your data remains protected by your device’s lock screen.

4. Third-Party Services

QR Studio does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or marketing SDKs.

The only third-party interactions occur when you explicitly choose to:

Open a scanned URL in your browser.
Share content through another app on your device.

In these cases, the third party’s privacy policy applies to the data they receive.

5. Children’s Privacy

QR Studio is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Because the app does not collect personal information at all, no special handling is required for child users.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will:

Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
Post the revised policy on this page.
